O Lord, Your majesty is reflected in the seasons of my everyday moments, for the wonder you allow me when I pay attention, and for the eternal purposes you are working out in ordinary time.

For the tropic extravagance of purple lonchocarpus trees surrounding my house, the profusion of their lilac-smelling November blooms.

For Spanish moss gilded with the morning sun as day breaks on the lake.

For the wonder of 45 years together.

For the perfect healing of one special girl – that she is walking again, and on her way to her first day of “school.”
For these gifts, and a thousand more,
I give You thanks, O Christ.
